    knowledge rather than choice gold,
for wisdom is more precious than rubies,
    and nothing you desire can compare with her.

Proverbs 8: 8-9 — Spiritual Diet

All the words of my mouth are just;
    none of them is crooked or perverse.
To the discerning all of them are right;
    they are upright to those who have found knowledge.

Summary: Can we “taste” spiritual truth? In a very real sense, yes we can. To be able to discern truth from a lie we need to use wisdom. Fortunately for us, wisdom is ready and willing to help.

My mouth speaks what is true,
    for my lips detest wickedness.

Summary: Solomon’s reference to lips detesting wickedness brings to mind the power of taste. How is our taste developed? Today we look at one small aspect of this question.

Summary: In the movie “Forrest Gump” Forrest says, “Stupid is as stupid does.” There is a lot of wisdom in those five words. So what is wisdom, and why is she making so much noise?

Summary: Solomon continues to pound on the topic of adultery reminding us once again that breaking the marriage relationship is a ticket to hell.

Proverbs 6:27-28  — Self-Destruction

But a man who commits adultery has no sense;
    whoever does so destroys himself.

Summary: Adultery is a very personal crime. It is not so much a crime against the law as it is a crime against the heart. Today’s meditation gives us a peek into the heart of God.

Summary: God’s Word is a complete whole. We cannot separate the Old Testament God from the New. Both are one.
