How To Use This Site

Welcome to the blog! I hope you will take a few minutes to look around. This post includes information on how to navigate around the website and how to comment on a post. You also have the option of getting ThreeMinuteBible.com in your email inbox.

Staying in step with Jesus requires staying in touch. There are many ways to stay in touch with Jesus including prayer, reading scripture, and fellowship with other believers. This site offers the opportunity to stay in touch in just three minutes every day using all three of these methods: reading scripture, fellowshipping with other believers, and personal prayer. We encourage you to visit every day.

At the bottom of each page (you have to scroll down) is the comment screen. It looks like this:

Type your comment in the box. You can submit your comment anonymously or you can add your name. Below the box are these fields:

You do not have to leave a name or you can just put your first name or whatever you want.

If you would like to get Three Minute Bible in your email every day, add your email address and click the “Notify me of new posts by email” box at the bottom. (The other box will let you know when I have responded to your comment.)

When you are ready to post your comment click the black “Post Comment” box at the bottom right corner and your comment will be submitted. Most comments will show up right away. Sometimes comments get flagged for review, especially new commenters, and I have to “approve” them. (Don’t worry – I’ll approve you! 🙂 ) If they do not show up right away, check back later in the day and see. If there is a problem, you can email me at Jeff@ThreeMinuteBible.com and I will do my best to fix the problem.

If you want to look through past blog posts (there are over 1000 of them!) there are two ways of doing that. Depending on your device (phone or computer) there is a pulldown menu to the side or at the bottom of the screen (scroll down).

Both menus let you choose a month or category to start searching in. One weird thing about the program that this blog is written in is that everything is stored new to old. That means that whatever category you choose, the posts shown will be the newest in that category or month. To find the first post in the category or month you have to do the following:

Scroll to the bottom of the page until you see something like this:

For this category there are seventeen pages of posts with about ten posts per page. The arrow on the right is a “page turner.” If you click it you can go to the next post.

If you click the number “17” that will take you to the page with the oldest posts in the category. Scroll down to the bottom to see the very first post on that topic.

At the bottom of each post (you have to click on the post title or “continue reading” to get to the post itself) there is a pair of signposts that look like this:

Clicking on either one of these will take you to the post before or the post after the one you are looking at.

I hope that this has been helpful (and that there are not too many typos!). Enjoy! Leave a comment and sign up for getting ThreeMinuteBible.com in your inbox. I would love to hear from you.

God bless!
