1 Timothy 5:7 – Avoiding Blame

Give the people these instructions, so that no one may be open to blame.

Summary: Paul’s instruction to Timothy and the believers is really a command  

At first glance, this verse might be understood as a ‘passing comment’ on Paul’s part. Actually, it is much more.

Galatians 6:6 – Making Sense

Nevertheless, the one who receives instruction in the word should share all good things with their instructor.

Summary: Giving instruction and receiving instruction are two different things. Oddly, we can receive instruction even if someone is not intentionally giving it. Sometimes that is the very best kind of instruction.
