He will call out to me, ‘You are my Father,
my God, the Rock my Savior.’
Summary: Happy Father’s Day is more than just a few words on a card. It is a way of living.
Happy Father’s Day!
Just a short blog post today. As we celebrate fathers let’s not forget to honor the Father of all fathers, God himself. He is our Father, our God, our Rock, and our Savior. I guess that makes him the perfect Father.
Application: Honor your father …
Food for Thought: What does it mean to you that our God is also our Father?
It means that through Christ I am His child. It means I can have a close, intimate relationship with Him. It means I am a member of His family. It means that I have a great inheritance. Romans 8: 15 – 17. Those are just a few of the many blessings.
Happy Father’s Day brother.
And the same you my friend!
Thank you for your faithfulness here on the blog. You are a delight to my soul! 🙂
06-18-2023, What does it mean to you that our God is also our Father?
For some of us, life with our physical father is not a pleasant memory and the thought of God being our Father did not bring peaceful thoughts of a loving Father. Some who have been drawn to Christ, were not ready, had no foundation to run to God as our Father under any circumstances.
Our Heavenly Father is very aware of this, and comes gently, quietly into our hearts , filling each with faith and confidence in His eternal love for us as we are, in all circumstances. We are drawn to Him in the power of His eternal love for us, His concern for our well being and protective love placed in our hearts. He gives us everything we need to experience His righteousness which brings us closer to Him each day. He is truly interested, in our personal growing relationship with Him and does all the work to make it possible. He simply loves us into submission to His will.
Happy Fathers Day!!!
Thanks Ron!
You were definitely on my mind when I was preparing for today’s post.
Happy Father’s Day to you, brother!
Praise God for a new way of Life now, not a retirement program.
Amen to that!! 🙂
